The application change is a consequence of a multi-week process of discussion between the urban members of the Supervisory Board of the NPT, the management of the NPT and the airport company. Mayor Norbert Bude looks at the application amendment by FMG a great opportunity for Mönchengladbach and the region. "The fact is that we ourselves benefit with a web of 1,850 meters from the worldwide growth spurt in air traffic. Research shows that are available in this case interesting air traffic in the distance measure for two hours, the aircraft like the Boeing 737 or the Airbus 319 can. This is accompanied is a big chance that the airport can develop through the rational combination 1,850 meters to a job machine, "said Mayor Norbert Bude."
