MILAN - Finmeccanica managing director Giorgio Zappa, has called the negotiations with Airbus on the contribution of the Italian aviation company in the development of the A350 XWB as "difficult". The upcoming spin-off of Airbus plants in the group of companies as well as changes in the ownership structure of EADS, would make the definition of an investment framework.
Finmeccanica could therefore currently not say when the negotiations will be completed. Zappa, but underlined the persisting interest of his group to be active the A350 XWB program. Only late last month announced Finmeccanica to surprise the objective of developing the A350 XWB from an initial contribution to be reduced by up to ten percent to only three to four percent.
