At the German Duathlon Championships in Oberursel I could with Lander and Yannic win the runner-up title ( results ). Lander showed it with a 4th Place a particularly strong race and Yann, the second in the U23 championship was increased, beyond itself. With my own race, I am far from satisfied. The first run I got big problems in the early rounds to really air. Since I had some problems in recent days with a cough expectorant and also take drugs, I had already had reckoned with such a thing and at times, considered not to compete. I decided, however, for a start, because no team score reached would come. After the first two laps, we went even a bit better and I could make some good pitches. A good position was, however, not reach. Unfortunately, I found myself on the bike again exactly between two groups. I tried approaching the group in front of me, but that I could not. It was then a very lonely race for me. I rode the entire bike course alone. Not very motivating when you see before you the whole group and has no chance to get too. To wait for the group behind me made no sense because it was too far away and so I started holding an individual time trial. The second run was then also nothing special. Since I run both forward and had to back such great distances, I was no longer completely full, although I again felt very good. Once in the target I was also not really broken. I should probably just check off the competition as a hard training session and hope that I'm back for the next competitions fit. I would not have been weakened by the disease, probably a little more than a 33.Platz would have been possible.
