German University Championships in Munster
And again the thankless fourth Place. Despite a very good performance, it presented again not for the podium. But from scratch. I have traveled on Saturday in Munster to me to look schonmal the route and to spare me the stress of early arrival. Fortunately, in the competition area included a large Leihnwand was constructed, so that I could race the World Series in Hamburg public viewing in almost enjoy fashion. I also learned about some very nice people in Munster, so I was happy already to have arrived the day before. During the competition itself, I felt it really from the beginning very well. While swimming, I got a very good start and was able to swim the first 500m with the two leaders. I unfortunately had to let a little tear, but could with two other athletes keep in the chasing group. I then climbed as 4th from the water. On the bike I had was really good legs and the distance to meet me too, so I'm pretty fast on the second Space could advance. With just over a minute behind the leader, I changed the run course, knowing that some very strong runners were behind me. In the first two laps I could defend my 2nd place then also, so I could run as the second participant in the entire competition by the backdrop of the madness Osmohallen. Shortly after that, I would nonetheless still be collected by two athletes. One was my Teamkammerad Matthias Grau, who ran ahead to the 2nd place. So I had another go with undakbaren 4th place satisfied because I could not really keep in running it. In part, this was probably from the cold, which I've captured last Tuesday after practice. Even on the bike I had to get rid of a lot of mucus, and during the run was that with the breath not optimal. But it would have been enough without the disease for the third place is also doubtful. I'm just happy a very nice race in a heavily occupied area in front of a great backdrop to have made and had a lot of fun and a fantastic weekend. Results are

Why Does My Breathsmell Like Smoke
lecture at the School
Last week Wednesday I was allowed by a few students of Annette Droste-Hülshoff Gymnasium Benrath give a talk about triathlon. The group was selected as part of a project week, the topic of triathlon and came to known to me. So I met up first in the classroom with the students and told them the basic stuff of the triathlon, the race preparation of the Exchange, to biking in the group. According to the theory, we could then also the practice not be neglected. Divided into two groups, we went about 40km cycling and rounded off the whole with a small port in the run Benrather park. It was so wonderful to see how excited the students were on the sport and the enthusiasm with which they were to the point. On Sunday launched some of Them in their first triathlon Hennef. All finishten despite the great heat, and showed very good performance. Most important was that everyone had a lot of fun. I hope that it has found one or the other fell in the triathlon and will remain faithful to this beautiful sport.
